Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 1 September 2026

1. Who We Are

When you purchase products on bonvale.fr (our "Website") or through our mobile application (our "App") as a customer in France, you are entering into a contract with:

Bonvale UK Limited (company number 17142585), a company incorporated in England and Wales, with its registered office at 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom ("Bonvale", "we", "us", "our").

Bonvale UK Limited is the seller and merchant of record for all products offered on our Website and App to customers in France. We are established outside the European Union. This does not affect the consumer rights you hold under French and EU law, which apply in full because we direct our commercial activities to consumers in France (see Section 9).

Bonvale is a trademark of Bonvale Group Pte Ltd, used under licence.

2. Who May Order

To purchase from us, you must:

  • be at least 18 years of age;
  • be purchasing for personal, non-commercial use;
  • have a payment method that we accept; and
  • be authorised to use that payment method (it is in your name, or you have the permission of the cardholder).

By placing an order, you confirm that you meet all of these requirements. We reserve the right to decline an order where we have reasonable grounds to believe that this is not the case.

3. Placing an Order

When you place an order on our Website or App, you will receive an acknowledgement email. This email confirms that we have received your order; it is not an acceptance and does not form a contract.

The contract between you and Bonvale is formed when we send you the dispatch confirmation email confirming that your order has been shipped. The language of the contract is French.

We reserve the right not to accept your order, for example where:

  • we are unable to obtain payment authorisation;
  • a product is out of stock or has been withdrawn from sale;
  • we identify a pricing error (see Section 5);
  • shipping restrictions apply to your delivery address; or
  • we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraudulent or unlawful activity.

If we are unable to accept your order, we will let you know as soon as reasonably practicable and provide a full refund of any amount charged.

Products remain our property until full payment has been received and the goods have been delivered.

4. Products

We sell clothing, accessories, and beauty and personal care products (the "Products"). The descriptions, images, and specifications on our Website are provided in good faith, but we do not warrant that they are entirely accurate, complete, or error-free. Minor colour differences between the photographs and the physical product may occur depending on your screen settings.

We reserve the right to withdraw any Product from sale at any time without notice.

5. Pricing & Payment

5.1 Pricing

All prices displayed on our Website and App for customers in France are shown in Euro (EUR) and include French VAT at 20%, unless otherwise stated at checkout. Any customs duties and import taxes are calculated at checkout and included in your order total.

Prices may change at any time without notice. The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time your order is accepted, i.e. at dispatch confirmation.

We take reasonable care to ensure our pricing is accurate. In the event of a genuine pricing error, we will notify you as soon as possible and give you the choice between confirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it for a full refund. We are under no obligation to fulfil an order placed at an incorrect price.

5.2 Payment Methods

We accept major debit and credit cards, accelerated checkouts such as Apple Pay and Google Pay, and the local payment methods and instalment payment services available in France. The payment methods available to you are shown at checkout.

Payment is debited at the time your order is accepted (at dispatch). Card details are processed through a secure, encrypted payment gateway. We store your card details only where you have opted to save them on your account, and they are then held in an encrypted environment.

5.3 Payment Processing

Payments are processed directly by Bonvale UK Limited via our payment gateway. Your bank statement may reflect a payment to Bonvale UK Limited or to our payment processor (Shopify Payments).

6. Instalment Payments

Where an instalment or deferred payment option is offered at checkout, it is provided by a third-party credit provider, under terms set by that provider and brought to your attention before you select it. By choosing this option, you enter into a separate agreement with that provider.

Bonvale is not responsible for the products, services, or terms of those providers. Any dispute regarding such payments should be directed to them. Borrowing beyond your means or paying late may harm your creditworthiness and your ability to borrow.

7. Delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within one business day of their acceptance. Orders placed after our daily cut-off, on a Sunday, or on a public holiday at our outbound warehouse will be dispatched on the next business day. Estimated delivery timeframes are displayed at checkout and in your dispatch confirmation email. These are estimates and are not guaranteed.

Bonvale insures each purchase while it is in transit until it is delivered to the address you have provided. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

We are not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance, postal disruptions, severe weather, or any other event outside our reasonable control. If a significant delay is likely, we will contact you and offer you the option to cancel your order for a full refund.

If you have given specific delivery instructions to the carrier, Bonvale is not liable for any loss or damage that results from them.

If your order has not arrived, please write to us at contact@bonvale.com within 30 days of the expected delivery date.

8. Returns & Refunds

8.1 Our Returns Policy

Subject to the exceptions below, we accept returns of unwanted items within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is returned in its original, unworn, unwashed condition with all original tags and packaging intact. This 30-day policy is a commercial commitment on our part: it is in addition to your statutory right of withdrawal set out in Section 9, and does not replace it.

To make a return, log in to your account on our Website or App and follow the process. We will provide you with a prepaid return label. Drop your parcel at the location shown on your label.

Return shipping. We will cover the cost of return shipping in full for your first 2 change-of-mind returns in any rolling 30-day period. After this, a flat return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund. The current amount is set out in our Shipping & Returns policy on the Website. Because that fee is disclosed to you before purchase, it applies equally where you exercise your statutory right of withdrawal set out in Section 9. Where a return is made because an item is faulty, not in conformity with the contract, or does not match its description, we will bear the cost of return shipping in full.

Refund options. When you declare your return, you may choose:

  • store credit, credited to your Bonvale account as soon as your return parcel is scanned by the carrier at drop-off (typically within hours); or
  • a refund to your original payment method, issued within 14 days of our receiving your return. Your bank may then take a further 3 to 10 business days to settle the amount.

The original delivery charges will not be refunded, unless the item is faulty, does not match its description, or you are exercising your statutory right of withdrawal set out in Section 9.

8.2 Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged under our voluntary 30-day policy, except where they are faulty, not in conformity with the contract, or do not match their description:

  • Items marked "non-returnable" at the time of purchase. If such an item is faulty or does not match its description, please contact us.
  • Underwear, intimate apparel, boxers, and socks, which are non-returnable for hygiene reasons where they have been unsealed after delivery.
  • Swimwear where the hygiene sticker or protective seal is no longer intact, or where labels have been removed after delivery.
  • Beauty and personal care products where the hygiene seal has been broken, tampered with, or removed after delivery.
  • Pierced jewellery where the hygiene seal has been tampered with or broken after delivery.
  • Store credit.

Your statutory rights are not affected. Nothing in this Section 8.2 excludes, limits, or modifies any right or remedy you have under French consumer law. In particular, the statutory right of withdrawal set out in Section 9 is excluded only for sealed goods which have been unsealed after delivery and which cannot be returned for health protection or hygiene reasons, as provided by article L221-28 of the Code de la consommation (French Consumer Code). If you receive a faulty item or an item that does not match its description, please write to us at contact@bonvale.com.

8.3 Faulty Items or Items That Do Not Match Your Order

If you receive a faulty item or an item that does not match your order, please write to us at contact@bonvale.com as soon as possible after discovering the problem, with a description and a photograph. We will arrange collection or return at our cost and offer you repair, replacement, a price reduction, or a refund, in accordance with your statutory rights (see Section 9). Where you are entitled to a refund for a faulty or non-conforming item, it will be issued to your original payment method and will include the original delivery charges you paid.

8.4 Condition of Returned Items

All returned items are inspected on receipt. Items returned worn, used, washed, altered, or otherwise no longer in their original condition will not be accepted for a change-of-mind refund under Section 8.1 and will be returned to you at your cost.

Where you exercise your 14-day statutory right of withdrawal (see Section 9), we may only reduce your refund to reflect any diminished value resulting from handling that goes beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods. Trying on a garment is acceptable; wearing it out is not. We will not refuse the withdrawal, charge a restocking fee, or apply an administration fee during this statutory period.

This Section 8.4 does not apply to faulty or non-conforming items, which are governed by Section 8.3 and by your statutory rights set out in Section 9.

9. Your Consumer Rights

Bonvale respects French consumer law. The provisions below describe statutory rights that supplement or modify the general terms of this document. Where French law confers rights that cannot be derogated from by contract, those rights prevail in the event of any inconsistency with these terms.

Right of Withdrawal: article L221-18 of the Code de la consommation (French Consumer Code)

Under article L221-18 of the Code de la consommation, you have 14 days from the day on which you take physical possession of the goods, or on which a third party you have nominated takes possession on your behalf, to withdraw without giving any reason and without penalty.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by an unambiguous statement, at contact@bonvale.com or through the chat available on every page of our Website, before the 14-day period expires. You may use the model form below, but it is not obligatory.

Once you have notified us of your withdrawal, you must return the goods to us without undue delay and in any event within 14 days of that notification (article L221-23).

Return shipping costs on withdrawal: you bear the direct cost of returning the goods, namely the flat return shipping fee set out in Section 8.1 and in our Shipping & Returns policy. This fee is disclosed to you before purchase, in accordance with article L221-5. Where the goods are faulty or not in conformity, we bear the cost of return.

Refund on withdrawal (article L221-24):

  • We will reimburse the full price paid together with the original delivery charges at the standard rate, within 14 days of recovering the goods or, if earlier, the date on which you supply evidence of having sent them back.
  • If you chose a delivery option more expensive than our least expensive standard delivery, we will reimburse an amount equal to that least expensive standard delivery.
  • No restocking fee, administration fee, or handling charge is applied to a withdrawal exercised within this statutory period.
  • We may reduce the reimbursement to reflect any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning.
  • Reimbursement is made using the same means of payment you used for the transaction, unless you expressly agree to another means.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods which cannot be returned for health protection or hygiene reasons and which were unsealed after delivery (article L221-28, 4°). This does not affect your rights in relation to faulty goods.

Legal Guarantee of Conformity: articles L217-3 et seq. of the Code de la consommation (French Consumer Code)

We are liable for any lack of conformity of the goods existing at the time of delivery and becoming apparent within two years of delivery.

  • You may require the goods to be brought into conformity by repair or replacement, free of charge and without significant inconvenience to you.
  • Where repair or replacement is impossible, disproportionate, unsuccessful, or does not take place within 30 days, you may obtain a price reduction or termination of the contract and a refund.
  • For new goods, any lack of conformity becoming apparent within 24 months of delivery is presumed to have existed at the time of delivery, without your having to prove it.
  • Where a repair is carried out, the legal guarantee is extended by six months. Where you have opted for repair and we do not carry it out, a new two-year guarantee runs from the replacement.
  • The legal guarantee of conformity applies independently of, and in addition to, any commercial guarantee.

Guarantee Against Latent Defects: articles 1641 et seq. of the Code civil (French Civil Code)

Independently of the guarantee of conformity, you may bring a claim under the guarantee against latent defects, for defects which render the goods unfit for the use for which they are intended, or which so impair that use that you would not have acquired them, or would have paid a lower price for them. The claim must be brought within two years of discovery of the defect. You may choose between returning the goods and being refunded the price, or keeping them and being refunded part of the price.

Where you can rely on either of these guarantees, we will also refund the original delivery charges you paid and bear the cost of return shipping.

10. Intellectual Property

The Website, the App, and all of their content (including text, images, photographs, graphics, product descriptions, logos, trade dress, and software) are owned by or licensed to Bonvale Group Pte Ltd and used by Bonvale UK Limited under licence. This content is protected by applicable intellectual property laws worldwide.

Bonvale™ is a trademark of Bonvale Group Pte Ltd. You may not use the Bonvale name, its logo, or any sign liable to be confused with them without our express prior written consent.

You are permitted to view the content of our Website and App for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, republish, transmit, or scrape this content, data-mine it, or commercially exploit it without our express written permission.

11. Use of the Website

You agree not to misuse or tamper with our Website or App, including by introducing viruses, trojans, or other harmful material, carrying out denial-of-service attacks, or attempting to gain unauthorised access to our systems. You agree not to use automated systems or software to extract data from our Website.

All purchases must be for personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell or commercially exploit products purchased from Bonvale.

If we have reasonable grounds to suspect fraudulent, unlawful, or abusive activity on your account, we may suspend or close it and refuse to process further orders.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Bonvale's total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the total price you paid for that order;
  • Bonvale is not liable for any indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damage, including loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, whether arising in contract, tort, or otherwise;
  • Bonvale is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by an event outside its reasonable control, including a natural disaster, industrial action, government action, or the failure of a third-party service.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, under the liability for defective products regime set out in articles 1245 et seq. of the Code civil (French Civil Code), or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under French law.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Code de la consommation (French Consumer Code) or the Code civil (French Civil Code), including the guarantees described in Section 9. Any clause creating a significant imbalance between the rights and obligations of the parties to the detriment of the consumer is unfair and deemed unwritten, in accordance with article L212-1 of the Code de la consommation.

13. Dispute Resolution

13.1 Prior Complaint

Before initiating any formal action, we invite you to give us the opportunity to deal with your complaint. Please send us a written complaint at contact@bonvale.com with the subject line "Réclamation formelle". Please state: (a) your first name and surname and your account details; (b) a description of the issue and the resolution you are seeking; and (c) the relevant order numbers or transaction references.

We will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and endeavour to deal with your complaint within 30 days of receiving it.

Nothing in this Section 13.1 requires you to send us such a complaint before exercising your statutory rights, and it does not limit your right to bring a claim before the courts or a consumer ombudsman at any time.

13.2 Competent Courts

As a consumer, you may bring proceedings against us before the French courts. We may bring proceedings against you only before the French courts. This follows from the protection you enjoy under the EU rules on jurisdiction in consumer contracts and is not affected by Section 14.

13.3 Consumer Mediation

In accordance with article L612-1 of the Code de la consommation (French Consumer Code), you may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer ombudsman to whom we are affiliated, provided you have first attempted to resolve the dispute directly with us by way of a written complaint

You may also report a commercial practice to the Direction générale de la concurrence, de la consommation et de la répression des fraudes (DGCCRF) at signal.conso.gouv.fr.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

This choice of law may not have the result of depriving you of the protection afforded to you by provisions that cannot be derogated from by agreement under French law. As a consumer habitually resident in France, you retain the full benefit of the mandatory rules of French consumer law where they are more protective than the chosen law.

15. Store Credit

From time to time we may issue store credit, including as a refund option (where you choose store credit instead of a refund to your original payment method), as a goodwill gesture, or as part of a promotion.

Store credit takes the form of a digital code or a balance credited to your Bonvale account, and is valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Any balance remaining at the end of those 12 months will expire and can no longer be used.

Unless we state otherwise:

  • Store credit may only be used to purchase products on our Website or App. It cannot be exchanged for cash, or assigned or transferred to another person or another account.
  • Store credit has no cash value and does not earn interest.
  • Store credit may be used across multiple orders; any unused balance remains available until expiry.
  • If a product purchased with store credit is later returned, the refund is credited back to your store credit balance, with the original expiry date preserved.
  • We may suspend or cancel store credit if we have reasonable grounds to believe it has been obtained or used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.

Nothing in this Section 15 limits or excludes your statutory rights. Where you are entitled to a statutory reimbursement (for example following a withdrawal within the 14-day period or under one of the legal guarantees), it will be paid to you in money, and not as store credit, using the same means of payment you used for the transaction, unless you expressly agree to accept store credit.

16. Promotional Codes

From time to time we may issue promotional codes (discount codes and offer codes) for use on our Website or App. These codes are subject to the specific terms displayed at the time of issue (expiry date, minimum spend, eligible products, use limits). In addition, the following rules apply unless we state otherwise:

  • Each code is valid for one use per customer.
  • Codes have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Codes cannot be combined with any other promotional code or offer.
  • Codes do not apply to store credit, delivery charges, or items marked "non-returnable".
  • Codes must be entered at checkout; we cannot apply a code retroactively to an order that has already been placed.
  • We may withdraw, cancel, or amend a promotional code at any time, including where we have reasonable grounds to believe it has been used fraudulently, copied, or shared without authorisation.

If you return an item purchased using a promotional code, the refund will be calculated on the basis of the discounted price you actually paid.

17. Personal Data

The collection and use of your personal data are governed by our France Privacy Policy, which is available on our Website. That policy forms an integral part of these Terms & Conditions.

Our Privacy Policy sets out the lawful bases on which we process your personal data and the rights you hold under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the loi Informatique et Libertés (French Data Protection Act).

18. Amendments to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version is always published on our Website, together with its effective date. We will notify you of any material change by email or by a visible notice on our Website before it takes effect.

Continued use of our Website or App after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amended terms. If you do not agree to a change, you should stop using our Website and App.

No amendment to these terms affects orders you have already placed.

19. General

Entire agreement: these Terms & Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy and any product-specific terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and Bonvale in relation to your use of our Website, our App, and the purchase of our Products. This does not limit any right you have under mandatory consumer law.

Severability: if any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, it shall be deemed unwritten and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

No waiver: our failure to enforce any provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of our right to rely on it in the future.

Assignment: we may assign our rights and obligations under these terms to any company in the Bonvale group or to an entity succeeding us in a merger or acquisition. Any such assignment will not reduce your rights under these terms or under applicable consumer law. You may not assign your rights or obligations without our prior written consent.

Third parties: except as expressly provided, no person other than you and Bonvale has any right to enforce any provision of these terms.

No partnership: nothing in these terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment, or agency relationship between you and Bonvale.
